Age of Stupid

Clip - War for Resources

Clip - Contract & Coverage of Resources

Age of Stupid (motion picture) takes REAL clips of news, media and documentary, then juxtaposes it with a fictional post-apocalyptic setting.  Though the clips above touch on issues, mainly, concerning oil and energy resources, the film itself illustrates an array of global world issues.

Whatever your stance or personal reactions are to the following clips, Age of Stupid deserves recognition and commentary. Bringing awareness and attention to global conditions is a step in the right direction. Knowledge is part of the tipping point, but change won’t happen until we all take responsibility and action.

Plastic Bags [Short Film]

Simple dialog and minimal cinematography visually kaleidoscoping into a short film masterpiece. Partners in a stunning spectacle of emotional devastation. Created in a hope that humanity listens to the voice of a plastic bag and learns the error of our ways.

What if a plastic bag could talk? The life of a plastic bag seen through the eyes of it’s creator. This is a short film about one bags journey through eternity. I summarize this as, a mature version of “Homeward Bound” meets “American Beauty”.

Infinite Space - Architecture of John Lautner

What is so wonderful about the film, “INFINITE SPACE”, in celebration of specifically John Lautner’s architecture, is the appreciation for silence. In so many cases the complexity of architecture requires that, art like, attention where the viewer is asked to observe critically. Only in this moment is architecture achieved it’s true palpable vision.

What is special about so many of the documented site’s are their public recognition. Modernism and architecture in general continues to play an instrumental role in the movie business and Lautner’s architecture is no exception.

Objectified

OBJECTIFIED WEBSITE

Regardless of your background the documentary film, Objectified, by Gary Hustwit reaches all audiences. His level of design knowledge and the beautiful attention to detail creates a stunning motion picture.

In addition to the minimalist quality there is a higher standard of significant information revealed. The film unveils the mysteries of production and design processes. There is an acute attention to consumers responsibilities and there repercussions on a global scale.

It’s unfortunate that these types of documentaries don’t get the mass recognition that they deserve. The cause and effects from this and other documentaries like this are insurmountable. Without them our society would be less privileged and less focussed on a better future.
